Ok thanks. I'll get the new starter and terminals and I'll give it a go. My one question still remains. Is it normal for the fly wheel to have near impossible to turn with the spark plugs in?

Ok. And what kind of battery will get the job done. My car battery seemed to be ok but the terminals were warped and may have caused a weak connection.

The sound that it makes when u have compression. I haven't tried jumping it yet but when I bought the motor from the guy he did hook up jumpers to the solinoid but the starter didn't do anything.

Ok so I finally got that last spark plug out. The fly wheel turns freely and u can hear good compression. I also sprayed carb cleaner in the carbs. Now what? Only thing I can think of now is to hook it up to a battery once I get the new starter put on?

Ok. So I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to this. What and where is the cylinder wall?

    No. Colorado springs for years

Yes it has been sitting so long the transom was ripping off the back end from the weight of the motor.

Also why does removing the plugs free up the fly wheel

It has compression though. The slight turn I get u can here the "popping" sounds

Yeah wouldn't budge. Might be because of my crappy tools.

Wasn't able to get that 3rd one off. So I hooked my car battery and it's getting power because the tilt motor is making noises but not tilting lol. When I turn the ignition the solinoid sounds like it's firing but I hear nothing on the starter. I might just replace the solinoid and starter?

Ok I will try that. I was only able to pull 2 of the 3 spark plugs and it still was hard to hand turn.

Just got it it. I don't have a battery for it yet and I don't know much about motors. I can't seem to rope start the fly wheel. It rotates about 3 inches then becomes very hard to turn. I've tried to check to see if its in neutral. Not sure if it is. I hooked up to the throttle and raised the...
