    XP Office, Teacher and Student

I built a dual boot computer, with xp pro, and 2000 pro. Everything is fine, but in xp, where I installed Student and teacher 2007, it all works; but when I send something I have made(excel, word), everybody receives gibberish, weird symbols, little squares, etc. I am learning excel, so I don't...

    Wet stringer

Way up in the cuddy of my '88 Fourwinns 205, I had a soggy floor. Cutting it open (2' by 3'), I found rotten 1/2 ply(covered by 1/4 poly). The perimeter after that involves the ply sitting directly on a fiberglass hull chine, so I'm not working on anything beyond that at this time. The drainage...

    will they go boom?

A strange day. I was trying to get my 92 Bronco to start (why I keep it, I don't know; don't need it), and I did tests, an decided the slave solenoid by the battery was the culprit. I threw in an OMC spare solenoid I had, and life is good. A buddy called, and needed a loaner starter for the 85...

    Global Warming

North east Florida; it is so dry my grass crunches when I walk on it. Global warming? NOT. This always happens each year. The centipede survives, as always.

    OMC maximum tilt angle

Ok, after the last break-in hours, I am getting ready for some more. 88 0MC cobra 5.7. It was hard to tell the trim position,in rough water, as the previous owner ripped off the trim sender, leaving broken screws and cut wires, which I don't want to deal with until next fall. If anyone knows...

    prop help

I have a 1988 four winns 205 sundowner, about 3200 lb loaded. New to me and had to install new engine 5.7, omc cobra, has a ss 15x17 prop. I got far enough into break-in today and put it to 4600 rpms. Got 42 mph, but had alot of throttle left, which I didn't want to use , in order to see how...

    break-in oil usage

The first 4.5 hours of breaking-in a new Jasper long block used no oil. Today, 2 kours used .5 quart. The St Johns River today was heavy chop, with white caps; think the heavier load had something to do with it? I have broke-in, rebuilt a lot of auto engines, but never encountered this.

    cpu

The power went out, and now one of my computers is sluggish-it shows 100% cpu usage, but 0 processes running. It seems like there is a chkdsk repair, but can't remember it.
