It was soooooo tight I had to use a pliers to twist it. So I took it appart and changed the washers. For the moment I'm happy its easy to turn. I'll tighten it a little before I put it on a boat.

I think I'll do that and the points as well. I found the problem I believe. There's a little play in the stator plate which affects the points gap for the plug thats miss firing. I took off the stator, it was oily around the shaft. I cleaned it and greased it. It worked better for a while...
I used it for a while about 10 years ago. I remember vaguely the ignotion advance plate turning on its own when pulling the pull cord causing problems. I fixed that. Now it runs on one cylinder. Points seem good, 20 thou, condensers seem ok. I tested them with a multimeter that counts up to 10...
