    Mercury 175hp 1976 Timing

    Should I set the timing at 8 degree ATDC for primary pickup and 15 Degree for (WOT) max timing. Seems to Idle rough. Don't Know about WOT yet.

    Grey Grease out of Prop, idle rough

    I have 175hp Mercury OB, 1976. I beleive to have timing set correctly, rebuilt carbs (not needle valve). New coil on #1 because suspect plug not firing under compression. Runnung rough today (as in the past) noticed grey grease and som water flung out of exhaust prop area. this is new. about...
