I am in the process of rebuilding the sole of my glass bass boat and after ALOT of grinding and rotten core removal have progressed to the replacement of the Balsa core. My question is: is there any advantage to using duraglas or a similar product as opposed to using a USC 435 peanut butter mix...

Are there any companies that will remake or reproduce aluminum hull ID plates? I would like to replace mine since with all the rebuilding and upgrades putting the old barely legible ID plate back on just doesn't seem right.

Since i have to replace part of the balsa core in the hull, what would be a better rebuild method?
original stringer was just stuck on top of the core roving (first one) and just came off when i pushed it to the side. any suggestions...

good day today- got the 3/4 ply cut and glued (used Gorilla glue- misted both sides with a spray bottle and troweled the glue) screwed and weighted- let stand for 2 days. coat of resin, oversized the known mounting holes, holes for the tie...

looks like a great deal with that motor- hull looks very familiar (same as my kingfisher, probably the same mold)

also started cutting and grinding to remove the cap from the deck. what a PITA! stainless screw embedded in fiberglass and resin and coated with durabak non skid. gonna take some time.

well, started gutting the boat- pulled batterys, trim pump, and fuel tank. then i removed the plate bolted on the INSIDE of the transom........
So a little bit of silicone and some expanding foam and i am good to go, right? (sic)
