I drained and refilled my lower unit for the winter. During the process Lots of water came out, and the gear lube looked really cloudy and "milky". Is there some sort of gaskett that Im going to need to replace?...and if so, what is the procedure Im going to have to follow? I have a 1979 100 hp...

I have been tring to find the right ratio for my 1979 100 hp johnson outboard, i have been using 50:1 but when i start my motor it blows out alot of smoke till it warms up! :rolleyes: shold this be a mixture problem or is there something else that i should look for?........I looked at past...
when i have my motor running at idle speed it like to bogg out, what can i do to prevent this? also when i go to accelerate it takes a few sec to respond and when it does respond it gains speed slowly, does any one think that the gas i am using might be the problem or maybee the throttle cable...
