    Should I even think about a PULL STRING?

    Just because my 115hp evinrude has a flywheel with a notch for manually pull starting :eek:, should I dare try it? ? :D Is an 80 inch string tooooooo long. :rolleyes: how many times should it wrap around the flywheel?? :eek:

    Will a different gearcase work on my boat. Ebay has lots of them at a good price. If anything, I might be able to just take the driveshaft out of a different gearcase. ? ? ?

    can't find a driveshaft for my 1970 evinrude

    I broke the gear off the top of my drive shaft removing the flywheel nut. I have searched and searched online for a replacement. Does anyone know a place which sells the driveshaft i need? 1970 115hp evinrude #115083

    Should I pay to have my driveshaft welded together?

    I snapped off the very top end of my driveshaft removing the flywheel nut. should i take it to a shop and have it professionally welded together or buy new one? I have run out of money trying to fix problem after problem with my boat. 1970 evinrude 115hp

    I have a 1970 Evinrude which will not go in gear. I have power to the solenoids and a full gearcase of oil. I pulled the gearcase off the bottom of the motor and noticed that the driveshaft has no gear at the top. I hope I am wrong about this, but shouldn't the top end of the driveshaft have...
