    Transom or Bow Mount?

    This may sound silly, but can a transom mount electric be mounted on the bow? I tried it with a 50# Minn-Kota, it mounted but the throttle handle would only face the same way as the prop (or 180 from it). If I must get a bow mount are there any made that can clamp on or do I have to drill holes?

    Star 90 Knocks

    I have a Star 90, 1976 I believe. It purrs when idling but when I get over 5 mph the motor knocks, bangs and makes a horrible racket. I've changed plugs and plug caps, replaced the carb jets and spark plug caps. Any ideas/theories on what is causing this?

    Deep Cycle Battteries

    Are you supposed to run a deep cycle battery completely down before recharging it? If you don't, does it develop a memory and shorten the useful life of the battery?

    What Kind of Prop do I have?

    I'm having trouble figuring out what type of prop I have. I've been told their hard to find, etc. It's from a '77 90 HP Star outboard, Star was made by Chrysler. The numbers on my existing prop are A625265 and PS625. I believe it's the hub that makes these hard to find. What kind of hub/prop...

    Cold Blooded Evinrude

    My 15 HP Evinrude starts on about the 3rd pull, then dies. At that point it doesn't want to start, taking many many pulls. When it does eventually start it runs fast or slow, depending on how it feels that day I guess....... After it does get running and warms up for several minutes it runs...
