    So this morning I demonstrated to the teenagers how to fillet a crappie, left them to their own to clean the 15 fish we kept. They got done brought the bowl of fillets into the house.     Talking to the neighbor this morning told him we kept 20 crappies. He figures that over 250 crappies were caught in his house this winter. We kept 50 crappies this winter, gave most away have 2 bags in the freezer. Best fish is cleaned and cooked never frozen.

    Feel like an outfitter, have a dozen rods rigged for fishing pike-sunfish-crappie-walleye. 3 depth finders 1 underwater camera all the bait and jigs.     Nobody fishing?

    Nephew and his buddy are coming up this weekend, we are going to be more mobil this time and see if we can find some active pike during the day, and sit in a fish house and crappie fish at night. Weather should be mild, hopefully the forecast hold and the winds are calm.

    Gas augers are dead, nobody wants them anymore.

    They make an ice fishing live well now. You drill a hole put in the net fish are swimming, I use a minnow bucket aerator to prevent iceing over.

    After 20 years of lake boating, tried something completely different

    I was blessed, and cursed to be the first mate whenever my Dad wanted his Carver framed from Pickwick TN to Bradenton. Tell you what the thrill wears off at least for me. I prefer a simple boat over a floating RV any day.
