    Prop help

    Have a 89 16 ft lowe with 2002 mercury 40 2 stroke prop is 10 3\8X14 and maxs out at 3000 rpms. What prop willl get me to 5000rpms with a decent holeshot? Anybody with this boat and motor combination? Thanks.

    40hp idle issue

    1989 40hp evinrude (E40TLCEC). Just rebuilt carbs because engine would want to stall when I throttled up. Now after rebuilding carbs engine idles at 1200 rpms. Is there an idle adjustment on these carbs that I do not see. Manual says high, intermediate, and low orifices are fixed. but there...

    Prop shaft seals

    Motor is 89 40hp Evinrude.Can the prop shaft seals(2) be replaced without removing the bearing carrier? If so can someone give me some direction on how to pull the seals out. Motor is pretty clean and only been in fresh water.Do I need a puller to remove bearing carrier? Thanks and appreciate...

    mercury 150 shift shaft

    Replaced waterpump and noticed the shifter shaft moving up and down about 1 inch is this normal and is the shaft seal supposed to just lay in groove loose?
