I have a model MFS6BUL, 6 horse Tohatsu on my Catalina 25 sailboat. With the stock prop I get 4800 rpm at WOT. The Tohatsu webite leads me to believe I have a 8.375" dia X 6" prop. (I will check this weekend.) What are the prop options to get it in the 5000-6000 range recommended by Tohatsu...
I have a 2 year old 6 horse long shaft Tohatsu on which the steering suddenly started binding, accompanied by a horrible screeching, metal on metal noise. Gets better, but doesn't completely go away if I loosen the steering friction adjustment all the way. Any ideas?:
