    manifold temp

    i have a rebuilt omc 5.7l gm( approx. 10 hours) and i replaced the starboard manifold and riser. with engine running on the muffs and temp gauge reading 160 the new manifold feels warmer to the touch than the port one. is this normal? the new manifold is from sierra, not sure were the port one...

    anti siphon valve

    i have a in the floor tank with the outlet on the top of the tank. the fitting is a 90 degree with the hose then running to the fuel valve. is the anti siphon valve in the fitting on the tank? how do i remove it? <br /><br />5.7l gmc - omc leg

    i have a 19' cosmos (canadian built boat) omc 5.7l engine stinger 800 leg. it has two fuel tanks one up front in the bow looks to be added and a below floor tank. i replaced the fuel sender in the floor tank and am now having trouble getting fuel to the fuel pump. is there a screen in the outlet...

    painting leg

    i would like to repaint my omc 800, can i use paint stripper or will this hurt something? is there anything to be concerned about when i spray it, like blocking somthing?

    dist. performance

    is there a performance advantage with electronic dist. over points and condensor. harder to fix on the water but are electronic dist unreliable? omc 5.7l chev motor mallory dist. my old dist needs to be replaced and i have access to both types.

    distributor swap

    i am thinking of swapping the dist on my omc 5.7l <br />the old points and condenser mallory unit is not in very good shape so rather than a conversion kit i would like to put in a new electronic dist. how hard is it to wire and do i use the original coil.

    engine removal

    removing a omc 5.7l 260hp from my boat. do i need to remove the stern drive and the intermediate housing?( stinger 800 )lots of room to pull motor forward.should the drive be supported? :confused:
