Hey, I have a 1993 Johnson 120 v4 that I am getting roughly 80-90 psi on engine compression on all 4 cylinders. My thought was piston rings. Im hoping me and a buddy who's a mechanic can get a power head rebuild kit ($750 on ebay) and knock this out in one day. Gonna get a can of blaster to soak...
I got a 1989 cobra with a 1993 johnson 120 hp. Model VJ120TLAS8(or B). Starter works, got fuel going into carbs, around 90-95 psi compression on all cylinders. I cant get it to start. Got spark as well (shocked myself numerous times). Spark plugs look ok. Any ideas on where to start? Thanks!
