doing my valve lash on my in line merc/ chevy 1985 3.0L 4 cyl and don't have the manifold off so I need to know the valve layout from the front of motor to the back=Intake-exhaust order

Thanks to the pros on this site I think I may have the answer as the tap sound may be the exhaust flapper-I will throw it in the lake and see under power if it goes away.
as I noticed it winterizing and unwinterizing it this year run in water tank only , but related to this flapper I have...
