    Spark Plug Recommendation '70 40hp

    Need the oem spark plug for a 1970 40hp electric shift. Also, are the "polar" plugs prone to flooding...meaning when they get wet, they stay wet and won't fire?

    '70 40hp Vacuum lines

    Restoring 1970 Johnson 40 hp electric shift. It has 3 vacuum nipples; one on starboard side, just under magneto; second on front of intake, 2" below throttle plate, and third on lowest starboard side of intake. <br /><br />Can anyone enlighten me what the connections are? Perhaps all the parts...

    '63 Merc 65hp wiring-copper?

    Could the electrical wiring harness that plugs into the side of the motor possibly be stainless? This would include the battery cables. I need to splice most of the wires; practically rebuild that harness, but the wires won't take solder, even after an acid cleaning.

    '70 40hp lower unit disassembly

    Need to pull off the bottom half (skeg) off the the lower gear unit. Old type propeller. Removed the prop shaft and 1 gear; Question how that skeg comes off. Are there some small drift pins that hold that unit together? Any help is appreciated!
