    No top speed on 1963 40HP

    This engine ran well for years. Sudenly I seemed to loose the top half of my throttle. Figured high speed jet, so rebuilt the carb. No difference. Engine runs smooth, but will not go above approx. 50% power. Possibly reeds...? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Two quick questions...

    I have a 1963 40HP Evinrude Model 40352. What is the proper oil / gas mix for this motor..?<br /><br />Should I look at a 2 bladed prop to get more top speed, or play with the pitch on the standard three blade..?

    40 HP Evinrude seems to starve...?

    1963 40HP 'rude. Starts and runs great for the first 5-10 minutes, after which it starts to slow down. It will then run well at about 1/4 throttle, but die if I try to give it any more. Feels like fuel starvation..? Any ideas..?

    Wiring of 1963 40HP 'Rude

    I need to make my own wiring harness for this motor model #40352 that I just picked up. The harness on the motor has, apart from the starter cables, 6 wires. The beige #2 and blue #4 are capped off. The other 4, 2 blacks, a white and a brown are in a 8 prong plug. Can anyone tell me how to wire...
