    Ok place for tell tale? 70HP Johnson (pic)

    Think this would be an ok place to drill and tap for the tell tale? My only concern is that it's so close to the thermostat. It wont be in the way of it opening or closing but could the water moving through that area make a cold spot so the thermostat never opens? I dont think it will but...

    1975 70HP killing power packs after shutoff...(fixed)
