mine have run at 175 until I replaced thermostats one mercury part one sierra. the merc stat is right at 175 where it always ran and sierra is much lower so swapping out sierra. Why don't they publish important numbers like stat temp instead of just what part number it replaces.
After many days of wondering where the water was coming in my boat, I realized it was the rudder mount assembly. Can these be tightened or once they leak, they must be totally rebuilt?
