Anyone have suggestions for where I might find replacements for this fastener?
It came off a Ranger 12 dinghy and was used to secure the gunwales. I believe it is brass, 1.5" long, 1/4" OD. It doesn't have to be an exact match as I'd be very happy to replace it with something that roughly looks...
4 photos attached. I'm curious what things I should look for that would indicate bigger structural issues. There isn't anything especially obvious to my eye but I'm definitely not an expert.
Also, is the reason why such obvious cracks might be perfectly fine just because there are multiple...
I took all the hardware, benches, and gunwales off my Ranger 12 to clean it up and repaint it. It was green and there were many runs so I sanded it down and decided to switch to the original blue and red.
Now that I've got 1-2 coats on the hull, I'm seeing many places with concerning cracks...
