    bought new volt andtemp gauage, the wiring directions are the same for each gauage. don't I need temp sensor or is there one already one on the motor. 1984 merc 150

    Just replaced steering cables now I have to remove motor

    I just replaced steering cables,now I have to remove merc 150 to get the cables hooked up to the motor. What bolt or bolts do I hook the chain to remove the motor? Any other things I should do, for this is the first time I have ever tryed to removed this big of motor. Thanks in advance.

    I'am replacing steering cables in my 84 boat. It has a rack and pinion Detmar helm. Are most steering cables brands interchangable with a Detmad helm? Thank You

    Need help with thermastat gaskets

    I changed thermastats in a 84 150 merc. I didn't pay attention to how the gaskets go in. Does the boot end of the gasket go in the thermastat housing or the block. thanks guys

    I changed thermastats in a 84 150 merc and I didnt pay attention to which way the rubber gaskets went in. Does the extended part of the gasket go in the housing,or in the block. Thanks for any info.
