    My engine was not washed out after last year in Salt and now it overheats. What do I need to do?

    8.5 hp Merc overheating ('71)

    recently took out my '71 Merc and it started to overheat. Last time I used it (last year)was in brackish water. How can I make sure I cleaned it out good enough, or might it be another problem?
