Hi guys neat sub forum! I have a 50 hp honda outboard and was wanting to put it on a 16 ft star craft jupiter(freebie) until I can afford a decent utility type skiff. I will have a heavy load of 200-350lbs of ice and fish at times so was making sure I do not have a dog of a motor.

I will try to keep it short. No matter how high the rpms my prop only turns at 1/10 throttle speed. It almost feels like I am in neutral. Any clue what the problem is. Can a motivated lay person fix this if willing to consult manual.
