Is there anyway to test a stator from a '79 inline six 90hp Mercury. I've been having intermettent spark problems and I wonder if it's the stator. I took it off and wonder if there's any way to check it. Thanks.
The two wires going to the stator are corroded/bare. I'd like to replace them. I think I need to take the flywheel? off. Any suggestions? Is this relatively easy to do? I have a wheelpuller but not sure if I should use it. Thanks.
I have an Eagle depth-finder/fish-finder that shows about 50 feet deeper then it should. I don't know if it's actually taking a reading from the bottom or not.
