I have a 1990 Johnson 225 which recently ran ok. Yesterday, I launched and ran it up to 5000 rpm for about a mile when an alarm sounded. Ishut down and tried to figure it out, didn't. When restarted, the engine would run fine up to 2900 rpm then sound like it was missing and the alarm again...
