89 40hp tlcec
After some LU probs today i got it to work perfect in and out of FWD, N , REV for a good hour of run time .Then I only had FWD ?????I have checked all cables and the shaft linkage to the motor all are working,Though there is water in the gear case.

I have a 89 johnson 40hp , I just replaced the water pump and the motor shaft oil seal and oring, once all together motor goes into REV, N, but when in FWD ther is only pressure or tension as if it had a bad clutch .when in REV it will move but it will turn over the motor. When the motor is on...
