Ok when adjusting the shift rod in the lower it calls for 7 13/64" but it also says a half turn inor out to align forks is ok, so my question is how precise is this measurement? Could I get it to 7 7/32 or 7 3/16 and still be ok? It's a cobra 400 outdrive of a 1990 omc 4.3
So, was out last weekend and hit bottom with the outdrive did a number on it, destroyed the prop. Bent prop rod. And I'm sure some gears are not right haven't taken it apart as the housing cracked.
