    Motor runs fine but the shifter seems a little stiff to me, I don't know what's normal. Can anyone here give me a feel for what normal resistance/stiffness is in the shifter mechanism?     Mercruiser 5.7 W/Bravo Three - Where Is Engine Coupler Grease Fitting?

    I have a 1998 5.7 Mercuiser with a Bravo Three outdrive. <br /><br />Can anyone here tell me where the engine coupler grease fitting is? I can find the begining of the shaft at the rear of the motor but can't see or feel a grease fitting anywhere.<br /><br />Thank you

    I am the original owner of a 1998 boat with a 5.7 250HP Mercuiser I/O (6.5 years old now). The 1998 Mecruiser brochure I got with the boat says that this motor has ceramic coated exhaust mainfolds and elbows. <br /><br />The boat has 320 hours on it and has been fresh water flushed religously...
