my engine is a 1975 70 johnson . the engine dies sometimes when going into gear. before adjusting the slack out of the cable it wouldnt go into gear without going dead. im thinking the engine isnt advancing quick enough when going into gear. if this sounds right please let me know. and where...
MY ENGINE WILL DIE WHEN YOU PUT THE PROP IN WATER OTHERWISE IT RUNS FINE . IT WILL IDLE UNDER WATER BUT WONT RUN IN GEAR BUT WILL IF THE PROP IS NOT SUBMERGERED IN WATER . ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED . :)

im having a problem getting the engine to pull fuel from the carbs. i checked the bowls and there all full.i checked fuel pressure and it seems to be getting good fuel pressure.i sprayed quick start around the out side areas to make sure there is no vaccum leaks.i had all 3 carbs off and cleaned...
