My boat has a built in auxillary gas tank. When I try to use it the motor will run for a few minutes and stall and the primer bulb sucks flat. Any ideas on what could cause this?
Can gas be so bad that it will not run. The gas in my aux. tank stalls my motor. I don't know how old the gas is...probably over one year and it has some water in it. Anything I can do to revitalize it or should I just pump it out.
I need to take the tilt and trim off my 1992 Yamaha 200. I unbolted everything but can't get the unit past the motor frame. Do I have to take the motor off the boat to get the unit off?
My 1992 Yamaha 200 tilt and trim leaks trim fluid. Is there a way to replace the seals or do I need a new unit. Is there a plastic reservoir that holds the fluid? I read that some have a plastic reservoir that can crack.
The other day I felt the water coming out of the pisser as I idled down a mile long lagoon. The water was very cool. Is this ok or should the steam be hot?

Looking at a 27 boston whaler with a pair of these motors. Any major issues I should be aware of with these motors. The owner claims they only have 175 hours.
When I idle out of my lagoon the temp gauge goes up to about 180. When I accelerate the temp goes down to about 150,160. Is this normal? The water pump and T-stats have been replaced. The motor runs great.
