Wiring up a new starter . Original had 3 posts. New one has 4 (two for yellow) When connecting the battery
after install I heard a quick electrical pop. Now no power to anything. Checked all the fuses and all ok. The circuit breaker is not pushed out to reset either.
I'm obviously missing a...

3) possible as the boat got filled up with water this past winter, long story but has run amazing all summer considering I had a cracked block now fixed w/jb weld. I am now going through and cleaning the rust off the wiring. Orange wire...
After a long summer of Fixing a cracked block with JB weld , replacing the Gimble , U joints , new carpet and other items this summer I had a bizarre couple of days on the lake this weekend.

Well guess it's on to the next fix after just replacing the gimble and u-joints.
A couple of summers ago I notice a few drops of water coming from underneath the manifold and eventually it caused a small rust stain on the block. Unfortunately last winter I had to store the boat outside and a...
Just thought I'd post a few thoughts on both jobs. Took it out for the first time and had a horrible banging when turning so back to the dock and back to the house. Pulled off the lower unit and found the forward u-joint toast in two of the arms.
Gimble seemed fine but decided to replace it with...

Well, didn't get around to winterizing the boat his year. Long story but just went to fire it up for the first time

Hey all, Just putting the lower Unit back on after U-joint and gimble bearing inspection. Have the seal kit that just came in. Any Gasket goo recommended or just the Dry seal between the Lower Unit and Gimble Housing?
Thanks........
