    I bought old pontoon with a 1973 mercury 40 hp 402 motor. the problem i'm having is i took the control box apart to fix some bad wiring and when i went to put it back togerther i forgot were all the parts went. Does anyone know where i can get a diagram of the control box. It's mercury control box.

    usin main motor to troll

    I have 73 40 hp motor on a 21 foot ponton and was wonder if trolling at ldol speed would hurt the motor :confused:

    stator problem

    I have 40 hp 402 1973 mecury and the stator was bad bought new one. old one was 4 wire new one has two yellow one red one blue and one black. where does black go or do i need it. thanks.
