Does anyone know how to access the area behind the electronics at the helm? There is a wire disconnected, I cant reach it and can not find a way to access all of the electronics and guages from the back side. The sliding door and screen do not appear to come out and all the stuff I need to get...

I have removed the crankshaft pulley on my 1988 3 liter mercruiser to replace the timing gear cover. All went pretty well but I hope someone can give me some info on getting the pulley back on the crankshaft without beating it on with a hammer. I'm sure beating it on will do damage to bearings...
Do I need a special tool to remove the gimbal pivot bolts located under the trim sending units? Is this a pretty straight forward procedure. Any input would be appreciated.
