    is it bad to not have a tilt/trim limit switch

    I have a 90 merc with external tilt motor and rigged it up to a newer throttle control, it works great, but I am worried because there is no limit switch, I can put the motor all the way up or down and the motor keeps trying to push it farther, is this bad or should I just be really careful

    mercury 90 won't turn off

    I have an older mercury 90hp inline 6 probaly 1989, I just hooked it up and got it running but now engine won't turn off, both off toggle and key won't shut it down, is this a throttle control problem or could their be somthing in the engine, any help would be appreciated, thanks

    mercury 90 starting problem

    I just purchased a used mercury 90 hp inline 6 not sure about the year but it has the external tilt/trim motor. The motor cranks but won't turn over, seems like there is no spark, is there somthing obvious I am doing wrong, the motor ran well about a month ago so seems like it must be operator...
