I got a 1991 Bayliner Capri w/ an outboard 90hp Force. First time boat owner. Bought the boat, the guy said "you have to 'keep on' the trim, the motor will start to fall back down"...and he kept a 2"x8" board under the motor when he had it out of the water to keep the motor from settling back...
