    Jakedaawg - If it turns out that the black/yellow wire is in fact grounded somewhere, does it make sense to run a new wire from the CDI connection point to the ignition switch under the helm? --Frey

    Hi Racerone. I replaced the original switch with one identical to it, it happened to be a universal Sierra switch with electric choke. 7 pins (or connectors). As I mentioned it appeared to be identical to the one I took out. --Frey
