    Engine Removal

    Question Is: I have a VIP boat with the Mercruiser 4.3 and Alpha outdrive. I need to pull the motor. Can I do this without removing the outdrive? Or do I need to remove the outdrive to remove the motor? Thanks,

    4.3L Vortec engine knock

    Well just bought my first bought a 2001 VIP 184 Aviva with a 4.3L V6 and Mercruiser Alpha Outdrive. After the first 5 hours of running the boat I have a knock in the engine at 2,000 RPM. I limped back to the boat ramp at 1200 rpm with no knock but it sounds like a rod knock at 2,000 RPM. Also...
