    Rev Limiter

    I have a 1990 Evinrude 150 XP. Based on reading some forum threads, it sounds like this engine has a 5800 rpm rev limiter. What does it feel like when it hits the limiter? Does it simply not go higher or does it cause a momentary drop in rpm?

    Jackplate question Ranger 365V

    I have a 1990 Ranger 365V with 150 Evinrude and 5.5 inch manual jackplate. I want to experiment with larger setback without spending alot of money. Is it effective/safe to bolt in a 4 inch setback between the jackplate and motor?

    A while back, before the change in the forum format, I read a post that included a web address for boat hull specs (in particular Ranger). Now I can't find it. Can anyone direct me back to it? Also, where did the post go that has all of the prop test results from Walleyehed? Thanks

    Prop recommendation Ranger & 150 Evinrude

    Boat is 1990 Ranger 365V with a 1990 Evinrude 150XP. Prop is OMC SS painted black 14.25x23. Centerline of prop is 4.5 inches below bottom of boat-looks like engine is where the manufacturer put it. In cold water runs 60 mph, no gps, at 5500 rpm WOT.
