crusing down the river today.tryed to pull boat out of gear.STUCK.killed motor,came right out of gear.opened lid,altenator belt had came off.repaired belt.no more problems.could the belt being off & battery being low have caused this.i dont think so but i dont know mutch about boats------------yet!
just got a 19 foot sunbird ski boat with a ford 302 inboard.runs good but is eating up belts because of rust on the pullies.boat was reposesedfrom prior owner & probably sat up all last year.the wire brush is helping some but is there something to spray on to help eat the rust off...
found a regency 19 for 3500.00 in pretty good shape.just needs interier work which is not to bad.seats just a little dry rotted from weather.302 v8.took it out today for test run.seems solid.1992 model.is this a good boat for the price.
