    I ordered from a dealer a plastic water tube guide for a 69 85hp Johnson about a year or so ago and got this part instead. I'm not sure what it is or what it does, if I should keep it around or not? It's about 5/8"dia x 9/16" long and a 1/2" bore on one end and reduced to 1/4" bore on the other...

    It's a gift for my wife. I would like to add a power tilt/trim assembly. Can anyone give me an idea of what years and horsepowers are interchangable that would work with mine.

    Adjustments for higher elevations 69 85hp

    I recently moved to Colorado from Idaho and a change of elevation from about 2800 to elevations between 5000-8000 depending on what lake I go to. Anyhow there's a very significant drop in performance of my ob since I moved. Are there any recommendations for high altitude adjustments I can make.
