Mercury 175hp XR2 jet drive, Regal boat. It's leaking through the engine hull grommet seal - where jet pump connects to hull/powerhead. I don't think I can afford proper repairs (replace grommet seal), so was thinking of (temporarily) stopping the leak with 3M 5200 on the grommet seal? Would...
Just bought 2000 Regal 1700 XR2, and there's a leak between rear of the engine and transom. It's fairly sizable, and from all I can tell it seems to leak through engine mount grommet. Here are some videos:
