    Thank you everyone for the help…so quickly too!! it turned out that the starter was froze up. It has been setting for a few years. I am sure there will be other issues….. Thanks again!

    Boat wont turn over…Safety Switch?

    I just got an old Stingray SVB 165 SS with a 120 Mercruiser motor. I threw a good battery in it….and it does nothing. Fuses on the dash are good. I don’t know anything about it. Is there some type of safety preventing it from turning over? I should at least hear the starter clunk….or something...

    Thanks to all the help I received here the motor is now back together and running just fine. Thank you!! Couple of questions: When I got it running all I had for gas was 50:1 Chainsaw gas. My understanding is that this motor requires 24:1 Does that mean that I need to put more gas in the tank...

    Help putting CD-14 5.5 back together

    I was replacing the impeller on my old motor, and said,"what the heck", I might as well go all the way and check the drive gears. MISTAKE!!! I can not, for the life of me get the lower end to seat properly to the mid section. I have even taken out the upper gear that rides on top of the forward...
