i have a 1970 gulfstream w/ a i/L 6, gm 250, 165 merc- can i remove the engine w/o removing the stern drive, by removing the front engine mount/bracket?
1 have a 1970 merc 165, inline 6, gm250, and i have water in the oil- looks like water coming out the port side(hard to see where exactly) what kind of repair/rebuild estimate should i expect? is this engine worth the rebuild? is there a chevy i/L6 swap for this engine? can i weld the block...
i have a 1970 merc i/o, i/L 6, 165hp with bad trim switch wiring. my model only has one switch towards the top of the gimbal ring. where can i research diagrams and repair work for this?<br /><br />thank you for any help!
i have a 1970 gulf stream, mercruiser 165hp straight six, the trim wires are shot going into the drive. do i have to remove the 'top'(top has four phillip head bolts) of the drive to replace the wires? also, is there any online views i could reference? <br /><br />thanks for any help!
