    no thrust when placed in farward

    I have a 1967 50hp Mercury outboard. I installed new Idle and throttle cables and need to know the proper way to adjust those cables. as it is now when i place the shift in forward there is very little thrust. any segestions harold ps. I would like to know if there is an operation and repair...

    1967 Mercury 50 hp. no water flow

    I have no water flow. I pulled lower unit and took water pump apart ( Impeller was broken up in pieces). I removed all pieces I could find, then flowed water backward through pee hole to flush if there was small rubber peices . then i install new impeller closed up water pump and reinstalled...
