    leaking carb

    I have a '63 gale 15hp that runs ok if not primed....if you pump the primer, gas shoots out of a hole in the top of the carb..lots of gas! ( I assume it's a vent )the motor then bogs down and quits ....repair tech said he rebuilt carb( who knows ) and that I needed a new carb...any ideas what...
