I got the motor to start but it is making a lot of smoke, and it starts up like wild then slows down, sometimes stops. If I get it to run and try to put it in gear it stops.

This is my first boat and I purchased it a little while ago. We tried to start it up but it bogs down, like it was not letting the compression out. We did a test a took one of the spark plugs off and the motor started to tuen freely without any issues. Could it be that exhuast is plugged? And...
