No wood, unless as core sealed between fiberglass sheets.
Can I just epoxy plastic/starboard on to inside of boat and expect it to stay put without adding any type of glass cloth over it?
Looking for best way to repair previous owners work. Boat is a 2012 Livingston 12ft. Fish finder gimbal mount was installed to center of boat with 1" #8 sheet metal screws that broke thru bottom of hull and cracked out the gelcoat quite a bit. The end of the fastener and surrounding area was...
I like the 4 stroker. Problem solved. finally got a new 4 blade, 9.25 X 8 and RPMs are 5700 at WOT, motor sounds so much better. On plane within 8 seconds w/o the whaletail. Wife even commented the engine is much quieter. Thanks for the comments.

Thats what I have done, hope to try out the new prop this weekend. Still mulling the carb swap since it seems the intake is different also.
Thanks, Mike
My numbers were including boat's weight. Could be weight, but I think I will try to decrease the prop pitch. Picking one up tomorrow. HP difference, from my research is jet size and maybe 3mm larger bore on carb. Was not talking about engine swap.
Thanks,
Mike

Thanks for the comment. I don't have any experience in how that type of repair lasts and or if it is worth the expense of the fiberglass repair I was talking about. Just thought it would be stronger.
Any epoxy better than another?
Looking for advice on keel repairs and trying to find replacements for hull drains for my 12' Livingston.
Keels are scraped down and into fiberglass. Wondering if I could grind back gel coat on hull a bit and put down a layer of CSM then a couple of1708 layers on top of that and then gel coat...
