When I shift into gear I hear shift clunk. I am assuming it's maybe my idle rpm is high, cone clutch engaged in high speed. And cable needing some adjustment.
Thank you. So if the throttle cable is removed and the boat idles normal. Adjust or replace throttle cable. And if nothing changes what else should I look into. Thank you for the quick reply.

So after reading a lot. I ordered the tool. Will be adjusting the cables. Also hoping this will take care of the shuft clunk I am hearing when shifting into gear.

Ah I was looking at the alpha unit. Page 10-38. Manual 3208.
So the clunk is not normal. I need to adjust my cables correctly.

I have the manual book, it says to measure 6 inches center to center. But the lower cable has a brass barrel. It's pinned to the threaded shaft. I can force turn with vise grips ect. But seems to me I should leave it alone.
