have a 1993 150 Faststrike. Over this past weekend, i experienced some issues..
1. coming off high speed run, it died as soon as i got to idle.
2. died out on take off a few times when punching it from stop.
both instances i just restarted the motor and then it ran again. I had it out...
I just purchased a pontoon boat with a 45 Honda 4strk motor. the motor doesn't seem to want to idle very well hot or cold. Idles around 400 rpms and sometimes dies. I have to use the choke lever too keep in running.
my question is, is there an idle screw on this motor or should i be looking at...
I am in the market now for a new boat, possibly a nitro or triton. Buying new i would be getting a mercury 90 or 115 ELPTO 2 stroke. buying used, i am not sure but most likely a Merc outboard.
My quesiton is, what do i need to know. What years and HP should i stay away from? Can anyone provide...
I have a 1964-65 Mercury 20 hp outboard. I think it was the Merc 200 made by Keifer.. i just found out i have scored cylinders and it won't run correctly. Is this thing worth fixing? I am not sure what scored cyl are. Or should it be junked?
