    Water seperator question

    I have a 1999 Johnson 50hp with a 5/16" fuel line. I'd like to install a water seperator and recently purchased one with 1/4" inlet (I bought a 5/16" barb to 1/4"). The kit came with a filter, is there anything I should or shouldn't do with what I just described?

    Lower unit problem?

    When flushing my motor with garden hose and clamp, should I see water coming from anywhere besides the hole in the lower unit and up top. I have a Johnson 9.9 4 stroke and I noticed water coming from where the lower unit and the "swivel joint" meet.
