I have a 350 with vortec heads, clean quadrajet and edelbrock aluminum intake. Everything else is pretty much to stock spec.
As soon as I hit 4000 rpm it starts to go lean.
It pops pretty good, spark plugs look pretty good since I stay around 2500-3000 rpm anyways.

Excuse my artwork. They go between the transom and transom plate. There is a recess cast into the plate.
You dont have to remove the lines to install the plate, since they go under it.
